‘Rise’ For Women’s Equality: A National Minute Of Silence Planned For January 21, 2017

By | Blog, Politics | No Comments

On Saturday, January 21, 2017, there are women’s marches and rallies planned in all 50 states. To inspire and mobilize in a symbolic action on behalf of the rights of women and girls, BETTY band member Alyson Palmer along with Gloria Steinem and others, have created the new initiative 1@1.At 1:00pm Eastern Time and the exact same moment in every time zone in America, 1@1 is asking women and their allies to stand up for equality for one minute of silent solidarity.  In a statement on the 1@1 website they explain:From Hawaii to Maine, Alaska to Florida, and every great state in between, for one shared silent minute, we rise for our mothers, our sisters, our daughters, and ourselves.1@1 is one calm, unifying moment for all who believe in the American dream of tolerance, liberty and justice for all. It is one simple minute to help us realize how similar we all are individually, how powerful we are, connected.Whether able to attend a rally or not, all Americans can join this unifying action on behalf of women, girls and the future of our nation.

I’m taking the pledge to do this moment of silence, because more now than ever people need to stand up for women’s rights.

Texas’s anti-transgender bathroom bill, explained – Vox

By | Blog, Politics, Uncategorized | No Comments

Last year, North Carolina Republicans passed a sweeping anti-LGBTQ law that, among other measures, prohibited transgender people from using the bathroom that aligns with their gender identity in schools and government buildings. The law inspired a furious backlash, leading businesses to boycott the state and contributing to Gov. Pat McCrory’s defeat on Election Day.Despite the backlash, Texas is gearing up to pass its own law prohibiting trans people from using the bathroom that aligns with their gender identity. On Thursday, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick unveiled SB6. The bill, if approved by the legislature, would prohibit trans people from using the bathroom or locker room for their gender identity in schools and other public buildings, with violations enforced through a civil fine of at least $1,000 per offense. It would also let businesses set anti-trans bathroom policies, overriding any local laws that say they can’t.

Hello, guys! I know it’s been a while since I did my last post. I have been really busy with my real life and with my other work. Especially, since this past week was the first week after the holiday season. So I  was really swamped at work.

However, this is not what this post is supposed to be about. I want to talk briefly about a very important subject of this anti-transgender bill that’s currently going through the Texas legislator. It is obvious that this bill is based on unsubstantiated paranoia and fear and it must not be passed at all costs.

Not only is this further oppressing a segment of the population that is already been seen so much discrimination both legally and socially. This is trying to strip the transgender residents of Texas basic human rights as the US citizens and transgender residents of their very dignity.

I have social anxiety and I was very nervous call my state representatives but I did it anyway because I value the rights of my transgender of my transgender brothers and sisters. And if you are any part of the LGBT+ community or even consider yourself an ally then you should you care about this! So please if you live in Texas, please drop everything now and call your state representatives.

[Sporking] Fuck Your Sexist Bullshit, Scott Baio!

“First of all, I think 11 years ago Trump was a Democrat, so doesn’t he deserve a pass? I like Trump because Trump is not a politician; he talks like a guy,” the Happy Days alum said on Sunday, October 9. “And ladies out there, this is what guys talk about when you’re not around. So if you’re offended by it, grow up. And by the way, this is what you guys talk about over white wine when you have your brunches, so take it easy with your phony outrage. This is the way the world works. It’s not a big thing.”

I’m actually going to do a mini spork of this because every sentence of this fuckery deserves to be torn to fucking shred like the garage it is!

“First of all, I think 11 years ago Trump was a Democrat, so doesn’t he deserve a pass?”

No

NO, HE FUCKING DOES NOT! If Hilary’s “super predator” comments and her husband’s infidelity from the fucking 90’s can be brought up over and over again to score cheap political points. Then it’s only fair that we get to call out Trump’s fuckery.  I hate to break it to you Chachi boy, but your hypercriticism is showing.

I like Trump because Trump is not a politician; he talks like a guy,” the Happy Days alum said on Sunday, October 9.

Say what?

‘The Trump is not a politician bullshit really pisses me off.  First of all, Trump has been campaigning to be President off and on for 16 years and was involved in politics many years before that. You might not remember it because you are a knuckle dragging neanderthal with a brain the size of a pea. Fortunately,  sites like Wikipedia exist for a reason.  And I would also like to show you the definition of a politician according to Merriam-Webster:

Full Definition of politician

  1. 1:  a person experienced in the art or science of government; especially:  one actively engaged in conducting the business of a government

  2. 2a:  a person engaged in party politics as a professionb:  a person primarily interested in political office for selfish or other narrow usually short-sighted reasons

Trump is just as a politician as any the establishment Republicans, the only difference between them is that  Trump has never done any real public service. Trump for a long time has had the part-time job as a political lobby for his company for freaking decades. *puts hands to ears* What is that I hear? That would be all the receipts falling down on top of your fucking empty head.

Also, let’s be clear about something Chachi.  You and your neanderthal friends may talk about women in this way, but you know what? The majority of men in most civilized portions of the world has already realized that consent is fucking mandatory.  I have talked to many men, athletes, and frat brothers, they pretty much debunked Trump’s claim that this is just ‘locker room talk’. Let’s be very clear, Trump was talking about rape. He basically said that the content of any women that he encounters doesn’t matter to him all. The only thing that matters to Donald J. Trump is satisfying his own sexual desires.

So again, fuck you and the entitled horse you rode in on you sexist bastard!

“And ladies out there, this is what guys talk about when you’re not around.”

Eye Roll

Bullshit! I would point to what said earlier.  However, I want to add something: yes, most men appreciated the physical features of someone they are sexually attracted to.   However,  it is very clear by the video that Donald Trump and Billy Bush quickly crossed the line of appreciation and went straight into objectifying these women.

Trump and Bush crossed the line when they started talking about women as if they were pieces of meat, instead of actual human beings. They crossed the line, when Donald Trump, bold as brass admitted to not only not giving a shit about the women’s body autonomies,  he didn’t care about getting consent, and he sure as hell didn’t care that didn’t give a shit about Bush’s co-host Nancy O’Dell. Both Trump and Bush were ever so gleefully talk about Trump coming on to O’Dell even though she was married at the time. Which is more than a bit hypocritical for the candidate of the party that supposed to be all about the ‘family values’.

So no, most guys talk don’t talk about women this way in private. No, it’s just you, Trump, and the rest of the neanderthals who talked about women this way. Men like you, Trump, and Bush think that just because of they white, rich, and famous entitles them to get anything their want and that they are even above the law. And fuck you, and the ‘boys will be boys’ rape culture mentality! This type of backward ass thinking is one of the many reasons rape is one of the hardest crimes to prosecute in this country.

Fuck You!

So if you’re offended by it, grow up.

fuck you

I’m plenty grown-up you condescending patronizing douche canoe!  It’s you who’s acting a pre-pubescent child who was told they can’t get  any candy.  My six-year-old little boy is even more mature than you and that’s saying a lot!

And by the way, this is what you guys talk about over white wine when you have your brunches, so take it easy with your phony outrage.”

Excuse Me?

Nice gross generalization there Chachi! I can’t speak for other women, but I personally don’t talk about anyone I’m interested or even vaguely attracted like that , not even when I’m just hanging out with my friends. For example,  I might find both Lucy Lawless or Jason Momoa hot. Yet, no matter how much I admire them, I always acknowledge that these are real people, with real feelings,  and real relationships. Even when I’m at a convention, I always try to respect them as people and that includes respecting their body autonomy.  It’s the same way that I treat people I’m attracted to. It’s all just part of being a decent human being. I’m sorry that you and Donald Trump don’t

“This is the way the world works. It’s not a big thing.”

go to hell and don't come back

No, this isn’t how the world works. But no you know what, even if it did, it still wouldn’t make it right.  And to all those millennial women who bitch and moan about the big bad feminists? Yeah, this man and men like him think they somehow still  live in the universe of the ‘Mad Men’ television show, and not in modern society. This is why we need feminism because men like Baio still don’t know that women are people too, who deserve to be respected and protected equally under the law.
